Yes. Since September 2026, every French company must be able to receive electronic invoices and must have designated an approved platform (PA) (Ordinance no. 2021-1190, Decree no. 2022-1299); issuing becomes mandatory for SMEs and micro-businesses in September 2027. DeviStor generates compliant Factur-X COMFORT (EN 16931) invoices accepted by all approved platforms.

A classic PDF is an image readable by the eye, but not by software. A Factur-X invoice is a PDF that also contains a structured XML file (machine-readable), compliant with the EN 16931 standard. From 2026, a simple PDF is no longer enough. DeviStor automatically generates valid Factur-X COMFORT invoices.

An approved platform (Plateforme Agréée, formerly called PDP) is a platform registered by the French tax authority to transmit and receive electronic invoices between businesses. Since September 2026, every company must have chosen one. DeviStor integrates with Pennylane, registered as an approved platform.

Since 1 September 2026, every company must be able to receive electronic invoices through an approved platform (PA). Issuing electronic invoices has been mandatory since that date for large companies and mid-caps (ETI), and will be mandatory from 1 September 2027 for SMEs and micro-businesses. Until then, an SME can still issue PDF invoices in B2B, but it is better to prepare now: DeviStor already generates compliant Factur-X invoices.
